The LX-NZ30 is the ideal projector for high frame rate gaming and home theatre in both dedicated environments and in rooms with higher ambient light says Karma AV.

Karma-AV  has announced the addition of the JVC LX-NZ30 4K/HDR projector to its line-up. With support for gaming at up to 1080p/240Hz and high brightness for strong results day and night, the LX-NZ30 displays detailed 4K/3840 x 2160 pixel resolution involving over eight million addressable pixels from a 0.47-inch DMD, and four-way e-shift.

It uses a new high-power BLU-Escent light source, which delivers 3,300 lumens over a long 20,000-hour life for vibrant and detailed bright room HDR home theatre and gaming. The new 105W Blue Laser diode assembly replaces the previous 95W design, making it possible to achieve the higher brightness of 3,300 lumens – 10% up on the previous model (LX-NZ3) – while increasing the peak brightness during HDR projection.

In addition to HDR 10, the LX-NZ30 also supports HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) used in broadcasting, switching automatically to the best quality mode. Its laser light source controls the light output instantaneously, providing dynamic brightness adjustment with less delay compared to a conventional mechanical aperture. By controlling the output of the laser according to the brightness of the scene, black levels are improved, and the projector can reproduce images closer to human visual perception.

For the smoothest motion on larger projection screens, the LX-NZ30 supports up to 1080P/240Hz input with latency as low as 6.25ms, allowing users to enjoy game content with a frame rate much higher than conventional projectors, says Karma AV.

Meanwhile, a lens shift of ± 60% vertical, ± 23% horizontal, and 1.6X zoom enables a flexible projection range of approx. 299 ~ 478cm using a 100-inch screen. Further adjustments are available via horizontal/vertical/tilt keystone correction and corner adjustment.

Versatile connection options include dual HDMI Inputs (HDCP 2.2), DisplayPort 1.2a for direct connection from a suitably equipped PC, USB Direct Connect, RS232C and LAN control/12V trigger ports.

The compact (405 x 146 x 341 mm) LX-NZ30 is available in black or white. The distributor quotes typical UK end user pricing inc VAT: of £3,799. Availability begins April 2023.
