Karma-AV has announced UK availability of Emotiva Audio’s new DR Stack range, a compact series of Hi-Fi separates designed to deliver balanced audiophile performance in a space-saving format.
The DR Stack comprises four matching 267mm-wide components: the DRP-1 preamplifier, DRA-1 power amplifier, DRD-1 DAC and DRS-1 streamer/DAC. Each unit features a steel chassis, black anodised aluminium front panel and dimmable blue OLED display, allowing users to build a complete high-performance music system while occupying less space than traditional full-width separates.
The DRP-1 Differential Reference preamplifier employs a fully balanced signal path, sealed relay switching and a resistor ladder precision volume control. It also includes integrated bass management at 80Hz for subwoofer integration. Connectivity includes two pairs of RCA inputs, moving magnet and moving coil phono input, balanced XLR input, plus RCA, XLR and dedicated XLR subwoofer outputs.
The DRA-1 Differential Reference power amplifier is based on Hypex NCOREx technology and delivers 100W per channel into 8 Ohms or 130W into 4 Ohms, with the option to bridge the amplifier to deliver 400W into 4 Ohms. It features both balanced XLR and RCA inputs alongside audiophile-grade speaker binding posts.
For digital sources, the DRD-1 Differential Reference DAC uses the ESS ES9038Q2M SABRE32 Reference converter and supports PCM sample rates up to 768kHz, DoP256 and Native DSD512 via its USB-C interface. Additional features include selectable digital filters, balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs, HDMI eARC connectivity for TV audio and USB-C computer connectivity.
The alternative DRS-1 Differential Reference Streamer/DAC combines the same ESS converter with a lifetime licence for the Volumio Premium streaming platform. It supports Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, internet radio and playback from NAS drives, USB storage and local libraries. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming are also supported, while Volumio enables synchronised playback across up to six rooms or compatible devices.
Outputs include balanced XLR and RCA analogue connections, coaxial and optical digital outputs, HDMI video output, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and twin USB-A ports.
All DR Stack components feature 12V trigger inputs and outputs, while the DRP-1 and DRD-1 are supplied with matching full-function metal remote controls.
The Emotiva DR Stack range will be available in the UK from August 2026 through Karma-AV.
