Karma-AV to Distribute Opera Loudspeakers in UK

Karma-AV is expanding its premium audio portfolio with the addition of Italian loudspeaker brand Opera, strengthening its offering for UK dealers and integrators in the high-performance audio space.

The distributor confirms it is welcoming Opera into its line-up, where the brand will sit alongside sister company Unison Research. The move builds on Karma-AV’s existing success with the valve amplifier specialist and is set to provide the UK market with a complementary loudspeaker range supported by the company’s established sales and technical infrastructure.

Founded in 1989, Opera combines traditional Italian craftsmanship with advanced acoustic engineering. The brand’s loudspeakers are hand-made in Treviso by the Nasta family, using locally sourced woods and leather finishes to deliver a distinctive blend of aesthetic appeal and sonic performance.

The range is split across two core families. The flagship Callas line includes one bookshelf and two floorstanding models, featuring leather-clad baffles and a rear-firing dual tweeter system arranged in a dipole configuration. This design enhances reflected sound while maintaining clarity and transient precision. Retail pricing for the Callas range sits between £5,000 and £12,500 per pair.

Alongside this, the Classica V2 range offers two floorstanding and two bookshelf models, redesigned with updated crossovers, custom drivers and refreshed cabinet finishes. These include modern wood-effect and concrete options combined with eco-leather panels, delivering a contemporary aesthetic. Pricing for the Classica V2 range runs from £2,400 to £6,000 per pair.

Bartolomeo Nasta, Opera, says, “We are excited to be partnering with the UK team that has already demonstrated its brand building capabilities in supporting Unison Research and we’re looking forward to helping them bring Opera to a wider audience of UK music lovers.”

Ian Severs, Karma-AV, says, “Opera bestows unique design and performance qualities on a crowded speaker market and we’re honoured to be working with Bartolomeo and his design team in promoting the virtues of such an outstanding brand.”

The Opera loudspeaker range is available in the UK from April 2026.
