Jordan O'BrienEpson has been named the world’s number one projector manufacturer for the 14th year in a row by Futuresource Consulting Limited.
According to the latest figures, Epson has the largest unit share of the market for 500-lumen and high projectors, beating out competitors like Canon and Optoma.
“This new data from Futuresource is very exciting for us and it’s great to see that our projectors continue to gain recognition and sales share within the market,” says business director of visual imaging at Epson Europe, Neil Colquhoun.
Epson’s range of projectors is vast, consisting of everything from installation, portable, ultra-short-throw, interactive business and home cinema products.
According to the data, Epson accounted for almost one-in-three projectors purchased in 2014, with the company boasting sales figures in excess of two million units, managing to capture a 29.4% market share in 2014.
