Rako Controls is investing in a new Clerkenwell-based destination designed to support architects, designers, consultants, specifiers and installers with hands-on access to intelligent lighting.

Located on Great Sutton Street, in the heart of London’s renowned Clerkenwell Design District, The Studio by Rako is currently undergoing its final fit-out phase ahead of an official launch later this summer. Designed as more than a traditional showroom, the space will provide a collaborative environment where industry professionals and end clients can explore the latest developments in lighting control, integration and smart building technologies.

Visitors will be able to experience first-hand how intelligent lighting control can transform residential and commercial spaces through enhanced comfort, flexibility and ease of use. The Studio will also demonstrate seamless integration with complementary technologies, including window shading and other third-party systems, helping visitors better understand how connected technologies can work together to create more responsive environments.

The investment places Rako at the centre of one of the world’s leading design communities, creating a dedicated space for collaboration, education and innovation. Alongside product demonstrations, The Studio will host a year-round programme of CPD sessions, training courses, networking events, workshops and product launches, providing valuable opportunities for learning and industry engagement.

Commenting on the new venture, Paul Wafer, Managing Director at Rako Controls, says, “The Studio reflects how the design and technology sectors are increasingly collaborating to create smarter, more responsive spaces. We wanted to establish a place where designers, consultants, integrators, installers and clients can come together, explore ideas, share knowledge and experience intelligent control technologies in a real-world setting. Clerkenwell sits at the heart of the UK’s design community, making it the ideal location for a space dedicated to collaboration, education and innovation. We believe The Studio will become a valuable resource for our partners and customers alike.”

The company underlines that The Studio forms part of Rako’s ongoing commitment to supporting the specification market through practical demonstrations, technical expertise and closer engagement with the professionals shaping tomorrow’s built environment.

While the fit-out programme continues, The Studio is already open for client meetings and project discussions. Industry professionals interested in learning more about Rako’s solutions or arranging a visit are encouraged to get in touch.
