Daniel J SaitWe. by Loewe has announced a dedicated centre speaker for its We.BOOST wireless home cinema system, offering existing owners an upgrade to 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Designed to improve dialogue clarity and deliver a more focused front soundstage, the new centre speaker expands the system’s existing 4.1.2 configuration without requiring additional cabling or replacement of the original equipment.
The speaker integrates wirelessly via the We.BOOST Dongle, with a USB software update enabling compatibility with existing systems. An included wall mount provides additional installation flexibility.
The original We.BOOST system comprises four wireless active satellite speakers and a subwoofer, delivering 720W of total music power. Its satellite speakers incorporate up-firing drivers to create the height dimension required for Dolby Atmos reproduction.
Designed for straightforward installation, the system arrives pre-paired and pre-configured, reducing the complexity traditionally associated with multichannel home cinema installations.
Connectivity includes HDMI with HDMI-CEC, ARC and eARC, alongside USB, Bluetooth streaming and a 3.5mm analogue audio input. The system supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital and PCM, with additional features including dual stereo mode and individual acoustic fine-tuning.
The introduction of a dedicated centre channel is intended to improve speech intelligibility when watching films and television, while maintaining the system’s wireless approach and discreet integration into living spaces.
Rather than requiring customers to invest in an entirely new system, the additional speaker provides an upgrade path for existing We.BOOST owners.
The We.BOOST centre speaker launches in September, priced at £299 (€299 RRP), and is available in ash grey.
