LG Electronics (LG) has launched its largest ever Curved TV in the UK.
Named the LG 105UC9, the 105” curved Ultra HD LG 105UC9 TV is available to buy exclusively from Harrods Technology department for £60,000.
The 105UC9 is LG’s first 21:9 aspect ratio Curved Ultra HD TV, offering a built-in 7.2 channel, 150W sound system.
Incorporating LG’s Ultra Surround concept and developed in partnership with audio products manufacturer Harman Kardon, the multi-channel speaker array complements the CineVu screen.
Boasting a 5K screen resolution, the 105UC9 reportedly overcomes the challenge of uneven backlighting in a curved screen due to its recently refined Thin Film Transistor (TFT) pixel circuit technology, preventing colour leakage and ensuring an improved viewing experience.
The 105UC9 also incorporates LG’s webOS Smart+ TV system, which brings together a users’ catch-up TV, movies, sport and music services into one user-friendly menu.
“LG is known for its innovative and market leading technologies,” says Andrew Mackay, LG commercial director, consumer electronics (UK & Ireland).
“We’re proud to bring our largest ever curved television to the UK to be sold exclusively in Harrods. With a resolution of 11 million pixels, the 105-inch Curved Ultra HD panel is proof of our continued leadership in the next generation display market, offering exceptional world-class value to our customers.”
“We are delighted to welcome the LG 105” Curved Ultra HD TV exclusively to Harrods Technology, as the department continues to drive first-to-market technology and innovation from some of the world’s biggest brands,” comments Stewart Mancey, head of technology at Harrods.
