Daniel J SaitCrestron has officially opened its new London Experience Space, providing customers, partners and integrators with an opportunity to experience the company’s technology in a working environment.
The facility, located at 17 St Swithin’s Lane in the City of London, was officially opened by Crestron’s Robin van Meeuwen, Phil Breitschadel and the UK sales team, with customers and partners attending the launch event.
Designed to demonstrate Crestron technology across a range of sectors, the Experience Space covers residential, commercial, education, retail, command and control, and hospitality applications.
Rather than operating purely as a showroom, the office itself functions as an integrated Crestron environment, allowing visitors to see how different technologies work together in real-world applications. Technology from partners including Sennheiser, Holzmedia, Sony, Shure, Optima, Creation Baumann and John Cullen Lighting has also been incorporated into the space.
Robin van Meeuwen comments, “Our continued investment in key markets with such experience spaces gives a boost to interest in Crestron technology because people can come here and see the technology working in a real-life situation. I am grateful that we have found a new home for our UK team and can support our efforts in the very important London market.”
The facility will also provide a base for workshops and other activities aimed at Crestron customers and partners.
Robin adds, “The new London Experience Space reflects our commitment to the region. I am so grateful for the hard work the team put into this and achieving such a beautifully designed, functional space. The customer turnout for the official opening was a huge success and we are looking forward to welcoming our customers who have yet to see it.”
Facilities such as this also have a wider role to play in the smart home and AV sector. Giving integrators, their customers and other industry stakeholders somewhere to experience technology working in a realistic environment can help generate interest in what is possible, while maintaining engagement with the sector as products, applications and expectations continue to evolve.
The Crestron Experience Space is located at 17 St Swithin’s Lane, London EC4N 8AL. Visits can be arranged through Crestron’s UK sales team, with local workshops also planned at the facility.
