Marquee AV, provider of bespoke audio solutions, has announced the completion of a cutting-edge audio system installation for the newly opened Bocconcino restaurant in the heart of Soho.
This latest venture brings the authentic taste of northern Tuscany to London, serving traditional wood-fired pizza and homemade pasta in a setting that blends classic Italian charm with the vibrant Soho spirit.
The sophisticated interior of Bocconcino Soho, featuring warm natural hues and elegant marble accents, echoes the luxurious atmosphere of its Mayfair predecessor. To complement this, Marquee AV designed an audio system that enhances the restaurant’s opulent theme. The ground floor, which hosts live resident DJs every Friday and Saturday night, as well as Saturday Brunch, now resonates with exceptional sound quality, setting the tone for the weekend.
Recognising the need for aesthetic harmony, Marquee AV’s project manager, chose Bose Professional due to a proven superiority and diversity in speaker design, says the installer. As a major UK installer of Bose Professional, Marquee AV has a longstanding relationship and deep trust in the products, so were confident in their ability to meet the demands of the project.
The installation features Bose Professional wall-mounted DM5SE speakers throughout the restaurant, chosen for their strong performance and streamlined design to blend with the decor. The unique shape of the restaurant and last-minute architectural improvements posed problems that were successfully overcome by the varied speaker designs from Bose Professional.
The EdgeMax speakers, with PhaseGuide technology, were strategically placed to project audio toward the rear of the restaurant, ensuring consistent coverage and sound quality. Further elevating the quality and coverage of the sound, Marquee AV installed Bose Professional FreeSpace Acoustimass bass modules in the ceiling and under the benches. Marquee AV’s dedication to detail is evident in the custom spray-painted terracotta speakers and subwoofers, to match the interior, and preserve the restaurant’s distinct aesthetic.

The installer says the result is a blend of visual elegance and audio brilliance, transitioning from day to night with ease. It provides the ideal setting for Bocconcino Soho’s dining experience while amplifying the live DJ performances.
