Daniel J SaitDirac has announced that its complete Dirac Live suite will be included with Emotiva’s new LXR-11 AV receiver and LXP-16 surround processor when the products launch in October.
Both models will include Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, with no additional licence purchase required. This marks the first time Emotiva products have offered Bass Control and Active Room Treatment.
The LXR-11 and LXP-16 support up to 9.4.6-channel processing and major immersive audio formats. The LXR-11 features 11 channels of Hypex NcoreX amplification, while the LXP-16 provides the same processing architecture in a standalone surround processor for separates-based home cinema systems.
Both models also offer HDMI connectivity, balanced XLR outputs, Bluetooth transmit and receive functionality and streaming support including Spotify, TIDAL and Roon compatibility.
Dirac Live Room Correction addresses frequency response, phase alignment and timing issues caused by interactions between loudspeakers and the listening environment. The Bass Control element is designed to optimise the integration of speakers and one or multiple subwoofers for smoother low-frequency performance.
Active Room Treatment takes this further by using the system’s speakers and subwoofers together to control low-frequency resonances and unwanted bass decay. The technology is designed to deliver tighter bass and greater consistency across multiple listening positions without relying solely on physical acoustic treatment.
