Prove your humanity

Trinnov Audio will be at ISE 2017 on booth 5-U72 where it will be co-exhibiting with Artnovion and Procella Audio to demonstrate a high-spatial resolution 11.3.10 system powered by a Trinnov Altitude32 AV Processor and two Amplitude8s power amplifiers.

At the heart of the audio system will be Trinnov’s flagship AV Processor Altitude32 in its 24-channel version that will be feeding two Trinnov Amplitude8 and Procella Audio DA-05 and DA-06 DSP power amplifiers.

The Procella Audio loudspeaker system will consist of 11 speakers at ear-level, three subwoofers including the new Procella Audio V18 and 10 overhead speakers to playback all immersive audio formats.

Products from Kaleidescape, RTI, Screen Excellence and SIM2 as well as Swedish acoustic design company, Audio Data lab will also play a part in the demo. The 4K/HDR content, mostly with 3D audio soundtracks will be played back from a Kaleidescape Strato Movie Player feeding the new SIM2 Nero 4 DLP projector, producing a 160in wide image onto a Screen Excellence Enlightor Neo S. The system will be controlled via an RTI automation system.

The Altitude32 has also been selected as the processor of choice for decoding/rendering, bass management and loudspeaker/room optimisation on the Alcons Audio (6-H148), Bowers & Wilkins (10-K114) and Wisdom Audio (5-U120) stands at ISE.

Loudspeaker Placement Presentation

At 4pm to 5.30pm, Trinnov’s CEO Arnaud Laborie will be leading a presentation on designing speaker layouts that work with all three Immersive Audio formats, and more importantly, for a wide listening area.

Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and DTS:X all have widely differing views on recommended speaker placement, and resolving these contradictions can be challenging.

Trinnov states that it has supported all three formats longer than anyone else, and that it was founded to study and advance the idea of capturing and recreating complex 3D sound fields: ‘Trinnov Audio’ derives from Tri for 3 + Innovation = 3D Innovation in Audio.

“The simple fact is that we have been working in this field since 2001, long before Dolby or Auro or DTS were thinking about 3D audio,” says Trinnov. “Arnaud Laborie has nearly 50 patents in this and closely related fields and has published many papers (AES and others). He can speak from the perspective of long experience and solid science.”

Trinnov Is Hiring

In order to support a fast growing number of customers, Trinnov will be taking on additional technical support and sales staff, seeking an international sales manager for home theatre, Hi-Fi ‘Hi-End’ – see the full job details here.

With over 90% of sales made internationally and rapid development of the activity in North America, Middle-East and Asia, the high-end audio technical sales team is being reorganised accordingly, with a full-time presence across three different time zones.

After Jon Herron (North America) and Tom Garrett (EMEA) in 2016, Joseph Chen will be joining the team and look after Asian countries.

Given the success of the Altitude32 and the increasing demand for Trinnov products globally, the manufacturer’s production team has anticipated the need for a higher production capacity and has moved production to larger manufacturing premises in Brittany, France.

Through this partnership, Trinnov is making sure that production will ensure a sustainable development for the company. This new production unit is scaled to produce up to three times more audio processors than before.
