Lewis CaliburnOrigin Acoustics has launched two in-wall subwoofers: the CSUBIW10N for new construction and the CSUBIW10R EX (Explorer Series) for retrofit installations. These additions reaffirm the brand’s Design-Centric Technology philosophy – powerful bass that enhances any space without compromising aesthetics.
The CSUBIW10R EX is designed to bring robust bass to existing constructions and challenging environments such as boats and pool areas. Its retrofit-first slide-in enclosure maximises air volume for deeper bass without extensive demolition. With IP66 weatherproof rating, it’s sealed against water and humidity, making it ideal for marine applications, patios and moisture-prone areas.
For pre-construction projects, the CSUBIW10N sets a new benchmark. Optimised for integration into studs and drywall during rough-in, it features anti-vibration design ensuring low-distortion bass without transmitting resonance to the structure. Also, it ships with everything in one box – enclosure, woofer and protective wood cover – simplifying installation.
Both feature a 10in rigid aluminium cone with fiberglass voice coil former, handling up to 800W peak power. Precision-tuned via Origin PRO amplifiers with dedicated DSP profiles, they deliver controlled, impactful bass, while paintable micro-perforation grilles reportedly make them virtually invisible.
