CEDIA has named Peter Lyngdorf as the recipient of its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award, while Dave Tkachuk and Gordon van Zuiden have been announced as this year’s CEDIA Fellows.
The honours recognise individuals whose careers have made a significant contribution to the development of the smart home and professional integration industry through innovation, leadership and long-standing service.

Danish entrepreneur and audiophile Peter Lyngdorf has played an influential role in the Hi-Fi and home cinema industries, founding HiFi Klubben and helping to establish brands including Steinway Lyngdorf, Lyngdorf Audio and DALI, as well as co-founding Purifi.
Peter’s career has also included the development of technologies such as Equibit digital amplification and RoomPerfect room correction, with the latter designed to address the acoustic influence of the listening environment.
“Every innovation has been driven by one simple goal: helping people experience music and film as naturally and authentically as possible in their own homes,” says Peter.
CEDIA has also recognised Dave Tkachuk and Gordon van Zuiden as its 2026 Fellows.

Dave has worked in residential and commercial AV engineering since 1981, including 20 years as President of Tkachuk Associates and as founder of Symbol Logic. As co-chair of the CTA/CEDIA Systems Documentation Work Group, he contributed to the AV Architectural Drawing Symbols Standard (ANSI J-STD-710), helping establish a common documentation language for the industry. He was also named CEDIA’s Volunteer of the Year in 2011.

Gordon founded cyberManor, one of the early custom integration businesses to focus on IP network-based home technology. He has chaired the CEDIA Technology Council, served six years on CEDIA’s Board of Directors and spent more than two decades contributing to industry education.
All three honourees will be celebrated during the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards global ceremonies.
