KEF has donated a pair of MUONs, its luxury loudspeaker costing £140,000 per pair, to ‘Time For Design’, a benefit auction in support of the brand new Design Museum in West London, opening in November 2016.
The Design Museum, currently located in Shad Thames, will close its doors on June 30 and reopen in November 2016 at new premises in High Street Kensington.
To help fund this large-scale project, the Design Museum has teamed up with global auction house, Phillips, to create a benefit auction consisting of design classics and vibrant contemporary talent.

The auction will take place on April 28, at 30 Berkeley Square. Prior to that date, an exhibition will be available for public viewing from the April 22.
The KEF MUON was the first collaboration between KEF and world-renowned industrial designer Ross Lovegrove. Lovegrove worked with KEF’s acoustics engineers to create the new speakers.
