Lewis CaliburnKEF has launched the LS LUXE speaker – the brand’s most ambitious creation to date. Developed in partnership with acclaimed designer Ross Lovegrove, LS LUXE is designed to redefine the meaning of luxury listening.
At its heart is KEF’s 12th-generation 6.5-inch Uni-Q driver featuring Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and the debut of KEF’s Velocity Control Technology (VECO). Together, these set a new definition for wireless Hi-Fi and elevated living.
Continuing KEF’s collaboration with Ross, LS LUXE carries forward a legacy of icons, including Muon, Mu headphones and the Muo portable speaker.

LS LUXE is both a sculptural piece of art and a wireless speaker. Its rounded, low-diffraction design, robust materials, flexible decoupling chassis and advanced bulk moulding compound are designed to enable a purer sound experience, with sharper clarity and deeper bass, setting a new benchmark beyond the LS50 Wireless II.
Featuring KEF’s 12th-generation 6.5-inch Uni-Q driver array with advanced Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), it offers a wider sweet spot and minimal distortion. Decades of KEF innovation have culminated in this latest Uni-Q design, with the tweeter precisely positioned at the acoustic centre of the woofer, ensuring perfectly even sound dispersion throughout a space.
MAT Technology acts as an acoustic black hole, reportedly absorbing 99% of unwanted rear sound from the tweeter to virtually eliminate distortion – delivering a wider sweet spot, low coloration and an immersive, natural listening experience. To maintain this purity, the Uni-Q assembly is mechanically decoupled with a flexible chassis, isolating vibrations and ensuring the integrity of every note.
LS LUXE delivers a highly controlled sound with improved bass accuracy and reduced distortion. The first speaker to feature KEF’s Velocity Control Technology (VECO), LS LUXE builds on its debut in the XIO soundbar to remove elements that can obscure detail in the sound. This closed-loop system uses a velocity sensor to monitor the Uni-Q driver in real time, feeding data instantly to a custom amplifier that corrects any movement inconsistencies.
KEF’s proprietary Music Integrity Engine (MIE) uses finely tuned DSP algorithms to maintain definition and performance as amplifiers work harder. Combining a 100W Class AB and 280W Class D current-drive amplifier per speaker, LS LUXE delivers high output with lower distortion for pure, dynamic sound.
LS LUXE is built on KEF’s W2 Wireless Platform, enabling seamless music streaming with direct access to Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz and Deezer, directly from their native apps via Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, QPlay, AirPlay, or Google Cast.
LS LUXE also supports a wide range of wired connections – including HDMI eARC, analogue, optical and coaxial, so users can easily connect a TV, CD player, or game console. Each speaker includes a dedicated subwoofer output, and audiophiles can stream from local NAS drives or music servers, supporting lossless formats up to 24-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD.
LS LUXE is easy to set up and can be precisely configured through the KEF Connect App so users can fine-tune sound performance to match their environment and personal preference.
LS LUXE is available in three colourways: Dusk Titanium, Eclipse Black and Mineral White. Each speaker comes with the C3 Remote, crafted with an aluminium top plate, backlit buttons and a customisable favourite button.
Optional S-LUXE floor stands offer integrated cable management for a clean, professional look. The K-Stream interspeaker cable allows high-resolution audio transfer with up to 8 metres of placement flexibility. For added convenience, the KW1 wireless subwoofer adapter kit enables a completely cable-free connection between LS LUXE and KEF subwoofers.
