Prove your humanity

Spotify is now enabling users to strap their music to their wrists; although Apple Watch users have been snubbed with the App currently exclusive to Android Wear users.

Using the Android Wear Spotify App music lovers will be able to control their music from their Moto 360, Samsung Galaxy Gear S, LG G Watch, Asus ZenWatch and other Android Wear wearables.

While users will not need to pick up their phones to browse or play their music from Spotify’s catalogue, the phone will still need to be connected for it to work.

There’s no word yet on whether there are any plans in the works for an Apple Watch App, but given that this announcement coincided with Google’s I/O developer’s conference, it’s not overly surprising.

An Apple Watch App could arrive next month when Apple holds its own developer’s conference – WWDC.

Spotify for Android Wear is set to launch in June, although the streaming service has yet to reveal whether it will be exclusive to premium subscribers or not.
