Monitor Audio strengthens its architectural audio offering with the introduction of a more accessible angled in-ceiling solution from the Creator Series, designed to deliver greater precision and flexibility for installers.
Monitor Audio announces the launch of the Creator Series C2L-A in-ceiling speaker, expanding the range with a new angled model aimed at delivering high-performance sound with greater installation versatility.
The introduction means the company can now offer an angled in-ceiling solution at its more accessible Tier 2 level, bringing design and performance benefits that were previously reserved for higher-tier models.
Designed for applications such as Dolby Atmos height channels and multi-channel music systems, the C2L-A is engineered to deliver focused, high-fidelity audio in spaces where traditional in-ceiling speakers may struggle to achieve the required directionality.
At the core of the design is a 9in C-CAM bass-mid driver featuring RST II cone geometry, paired with a 1.25in C-CAM gold dome tweeter. The tweeter is mounted within a central ‘bridge’ and angled at 25 degrees, allowing high-frequency sound to be directed precisely towards the listening position.
The speaker also includes a range of acoustic tuning features, including high-frequency adjustment and boundary compensation, enabling installers to optimise performance based on room layout and placement constraints.
Monitor Audio says the use of its C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) driver technology ensures a combination of low mass and high rigidity, delivering fast response times, reduced distortion and improved clarity. Meanwhile, the RST II cone geometry is designed to increase structural strength, contributing to tighter bass and more accurate sound reproduction.
Installation has also been a key focus, with the inclusion of the company’s Quik-Link speaker cable connector to simplify and speed up wiring. Updated Tri-Grip II dog-leg fixings are designed to provide a more secure and reliable fit once installed.
From a design perspective, the C2L-A maintains a discreet appearance, with a 248mm cut-out and almost flush magnetic grilles available in black or white, alongside an optional square grille for additional flexibility.
The Creator C2L-A is priced at £550 per unit and is expected to be available from September 2026.
