Monitor Audio has announced the availability of the Silver Series 8G. Built upon the foundations of Monitor Audio’s Transparent Design Philosophy, the series showcases the most refined and technologically advanced Silver Series platform ever created, says the maker. Through meticulous engineering and optimisation, Silver Series 8G has one clear objective: to set a new benchmark for high-fidelity performance at its price point (see further down for the full pricing breakdown).
Silver Series 8G comprises seven all-new models designed to support both high-performance two-channel listening and fully immersive multi-channel system configurations. The series also now includes a flexible ‘On-Wall’ model to support a variety of less-intrusive stereo and surround applications if so desired. Scalable from compact high-performance 5.1 packages through to full Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 installations, Monitor Audio says the range is as potent as it is flexible, engineered to perform beautifully in any system configuration and any space.

At the heart of the Silver Series 8G is a range of significant technological improvements, each developed to raise the performance benchmark of the range.
C-CAM featuring RST III
For nearly 40 years, Monitor Audio has been at the forefront of metal cone driver technology. At the heart of the Silver Series 8G range is its proprietary C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) driver technology, now enhanced with the latest generation of RST III (Rigid Surface Technology). This evolved cone geometry increases structural rigidity while minimising unwanted resonances, enabling greater accuracy, control and transparency across the entire frequency range.
To deliver even greater high-frequency performance, Monitor Audio’s acoustic engineers have refined the latest generation of its C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, a hallmark of the brand since the 1980s. Featuring an optimised vented rear chamber, a newly engineered shorting ring and the latest UD Waveguide II, the result is smoother, more natural treble reproduction with improved clarity, consistency and dispersion.
‘Silent Flow’ Port Technology
Silver Series 8G features a smart new port technology that extends the performance envelope considerably over the outgoing range. The design, inspired by the interlocking wing feathers of an owl, features an enlarged diameter and an innovative flare geometry, which guides airflow more smoothly and quietly for cleaner, deeper bass, reducing turbulence.
New Crossover Design
Upgraded with higher-quality components throughout, the new crossover network ensures precise signal division, minimal colouration and a cleaner, more transparent signal path for tighter driver integration and a more coherent soundstage.
Engineered Wood
The European Walnut veneer is crafted from real, fully engineered wood, carefully layered from sustainable timber to achieve the rich grain and colour of exotic woods, delivering a luxurious, consistent finish without harvesting rare or endangered trees.
Through-Bolt Driver Bracing
Utilising Through-Bolt Driver Bracing, the drive units can be securely braced to the rear of the cabinet and tightened to a specific torque, ensuring structural rigidity between driver and cabinet while eliminating unwanted chassis resonances.
New Outrigger Feet
Taking their cue from the flagship Platinum Series 3G, the all-new Outrigger feet deliver a wider, more stable foundation. A discreet top-adjust mechanism allows precise levelling, and spikes can be swapped for integrated rubber feet to protect hard floors.
