Karma’s famously honest, modest and successful approach to brand distribution will now embrace Unison Research, Italy’s finest line of tube electronics says the company.

Karma-AV and Unison Research have signed a deal to distribute the Italian manufacturer’s range of high-performance valve-based Hi-Fi separates to the UK and Ireland. The Unison Research line-up includes Class A pre/power and phono amplification products and the Unico line of the hybrid 2-channel systems at retail prices between £1,000 and £34,000.

The company was founded in 1987 by a group of passionate audiophiles led by Giovanni Maria Sacchetti. After completing his studies in electronics, Giovanni devoted twenty-five years to teaching while at the same time designing and developing amplifiers including the legendary SIMPLY TWO, achieving great international success in a relatively short time. Designed and produced to high performance and quality standards entirely in Italy, this maker is now recognised as the Italian leader in the production of tube amplifiers and among the top ten in Europe.

Commenting on the move, Karma’s Ian Severs says, “We are delighted to be expanding our range of high-performance AV and Hi-Fi brands with Unison Research. Its exemplary Italian engineering and design will add another dimension to the choice of market-leading products available from Karma to our dealers and integrators.”

Bartolomeo Nasta, co-owner of Unison Research adds, “I’m excited to be working with the Karma-AV team in the UK. It deserves its reputation for experienced, trustworthy and knowledgeable dealer support in the territory. We are confident that our collaboration will give the UK’s specialist dealers and their customers many new opportunities to experience the exceptional qualities and performance of Unison Research design.”
