Daniel J SaitEpson has expanded its 4K laser projection portfolio with the introduction of the EH-LS7000 and EH-LS7500, two new models aimed at professional home cinema installers, featuring AI-powered image processing, flexible installation options and Matter smart home connectivity.
The new projectors combine Epson’s 3LCD technology with AI imaging powered by the MT9681 processor, offering enhanced picture quality and large-screen entertainment for dedicated home cinemas, premium media rooms and multipurpose entertainment spaces.
The EH-LS7000 delivers 3,600 lumens and 4K resolution, making it suitable for premium media rooms and high-performance home entertainment installations.
Meanwhile, the EH-LS7500 is Epson’s first short-throw professional home 4K projector. Delivering 3,500 lumens, it enables large-screen projection in environments where installation space is limited. Potential applications include multipurpose entertainment rooms and indoor golf simulation systems, providing installers with additional opportunities beyond conventional home cinema projects.
Both models support ISF-certified image optimisation and AV control integration, offering professional installers greater flexibility when designing and commissioning systems.
AI-Powered Picture Performance
A key feature of the new range is Epson’s AI-powered image processing, designed to optimise picture quality dynamically according to the content being displayed.
AI Picture Quality Scene 2.0+ automatically identifies scene elements, including faces, and adjusts colour, contrast and clarity in real time. Intelligent upscaling improves the appearance of lower-resolution content, while AI contrast and motion processing aim to deliver deeper blacks and smoother playback.
The projectors also feature an upgraded laser light engine incorporating LD Boost Technology, which Epson says delivers up to 12% greater brightness without increasing operating noise.
Smart Home Integration
Of particular interest to the custom installation sector is the inclusion of Matter support, enabling connectivity with compatible smart home ecosystems, including Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant.
This provides opportunities to incorporate projection into wider connected home environments, with voice control available through compatible platforms such as Google Home.
Additional features include 4K resolution with 8.3 million pixels, HDR10 and HLG support, projection sizes of up to 500in and low-noise operation.

Alongside the professional installation models, Epson has also introduced the EH-LS5000 and EH-LS6000, which are aimed primarily at consumer retail channels and homeowners. These offer 2,500 and 3,400 lumens respectively, bringing the company’s latest 4K laser projection and AI imaging technology to a broader home entertainment audience.
