Habitech, value-added distributor to residential and commercial CI, is delighted to have delivered CEDIA’s Best Training Initiative for 2020. As a key service obligation to custom integrators, the quality of product training is a leading measure of the value added by any disti to their businesses, says the company.

Habitech’s commitment to training proficiency combined with an ability to identify new trends in technology and product demand has allowed the company to develop better focussed and more productive support for our customers.

This award, which recognises Habitech’s training creativity over the last year – including the shift to webinar training during lockdown – is especially appreciated and valued, coming as it does from the CI pros that Habitech endeavours to serve every day of the week.

To offer remote training under COVID regulations Habitech invested in a webinar platform, which allowed the company to broadcast live training with interactive Q&A from participants. Habitech tasked its product managers to adapt their course content to remote learning, and as full lockdown arrived, training manager Justin Martin-Lawrence built engaging and relevant content, delivering over 60 webinars for more than 2500 ‘attendees’ in total.

The 2020 CEDIA Training Award complements a Best Trade Supplier Finalist Award this year and other CEDIA awards successes for Habitech including the 2015 Best Training Initiative Award and Best Trade Supplier Awards in 2014, 2018 and 2019. Habitech will continue to develop a one-stop platform of products and support that offers its customers many ways to mobilise their creativity and capability in winning new business.
