Lutron is showcasing its intelligent lighting, shading and control solutions across three installations at Decorex 2026, taking place from October 11-14 at Olympia London.
Working with technology integrator Homeplay and interior design specialists, Lutron is demonstrating how integrated lighting can enhance materials, create atmosphere and become an integral part of residential interior design.
A key attraction is Homeplay’s Beach House on Stand L50, created in collaboration with Hill House Interiors. Following the Serengeti Living installation at last year’s event, the new experience takes visitors through an entire day of natural light in a three-minute presentation.
The installation uses Lutron’s Ketra full-spectrum lighting technology to recreate changing daylight conditions, moving from cool morning light through bright midday illumination to warm sunset tones and candlelight. Ketra can dim to 0.1%, allowing subtle lighting effects that highlight interior colours and textures.
Javier Segovia, Vice President – Sales and Services, UK & Europe at Lutron, says, “Lutron’s lighting, controls and shading work together to create a space that feels intuitive, luxurious and in tune with the natural rhythm of the day.”
James Ratcliffe, Founder and Managing Director of Homeplay, highlights the importance of making technology unobtrusive while delivering a meaningful improvement to the living environment.

Lutron is also contributing intelligent lighting and Palladiom shading to the Sustainability Space, designed by Kate Watson-Smyth. The area hosts discussions exploring sustainable interior design, including a session featuring Lutron’s Craig Turner examining the role of lighting in creating more sustainable homes.
Meanwhile, the VIP Lounge, designed by Claudia Dorsch, takes inspiration from 1970s alpine interiors. Entitled Back to the Future, The Chalet Reimagined, the installation combines Lutron lighting control with architectural lighting from Orluna, including custom-coloured Cloud Integrated and Cloud Rod fittings.
Shaun Gumbs, Residential Sales Manager at Lutron, says, “Lighting should not be considered as a finishing touch, but as an integral part of the design process from the very beginning, that can change how you feel and bring interiors to life.”
The three installations underline the growing importance of collaboration between technology integrators, lighting specialists and interior designers, particularly as clients increasingly expect sophisticated technology to complement rather than compromise interior design.
Established in 1978, Decorex is one of Europe’s leading events for high-end interior design, bringing together interior designers, architects, specifiers, property developers and luxury interiors brands. The exhibition attracts more than 12,500 design professionals and features over 280 suppliers and makers showcasing furniture, lighting, fabrics, materials and decorative finishes.
For the smart home installation sector, the event offers an opportunity to engage with the design community, build relationships and demonstrate how integrated technology can enhance luxury residential projects when considered from the earliest stages of the design process.
