Bridge AV Distribution has appointed Simon Kenning as Commercial Director as the company looks to strengthen its presence across Great Britain. The appointment forms part of a wider expansion strategy that also includes the launch of a new trade-focused website.

Headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Bridge AV Distribution is a trade-only Pro AV distributor that has been operating since 2005. The company works exclusively with professional integrators, installers, consultants and other trade partners across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Its portfolio covers professional audio, video, conferencing, lighting and control, assisted listening, displays, connectivity, networking and installation technologies. Bridge AV supports projects across a wide range of sectors, including corporate, education, broadcast, theatre, houses of worship, government, hospitality, retail and live events.
The distributor represents a broad selection of established manufacturers, including Biamp, Bosch, Sennheiser, Yamaha, Tannoy, TOA, Midas, Neutrik, Lumens, Ampetronic, Focusrite Pro and Turbosound, alongside a range of other specialist Pro AV brands.
Beyond supplying equipment, Bridge AV offers technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle, including product selection, system design, specification support, manufacturer liaison, EASE drawings and hearing loop design. The company also provides stockholding, order fulfilment and after-sales support.
Building on an Established Presence
Simon brings 27 years of experience across professional AV and live event technology. His career began in production management and sound engineering before progressing through systems integration, technical sales and manufacturer sales leadership.
More recently, he established and managed a market and competitive intelligence function for a global loudspeaker manufacturer.
In his new role, Simon will focus on developing Bridge AV’s Great Britain business, building relationships with integrators, consultants and manufacturers, and supporting new project and specification opportunities.
He will work alongside Ian Hodgkinson, who already supports the company’s customers and trade partners across Great Britain, together with the wider Bridge AV team in Belfast.
Chris Campbell, Managing Director at Bridge AV Distribution, says, “Bringing Simon on board is an important step in strengthening our presence across Great Britain, building on the relationships and support we’ve already established.
“With Ian and Simon working alongside our experienced team in Belfast, we’re well positioned to develop new opportunities, strengthen our existing partnerships and continue providing the personal, knowledgeable service that our customers expect from Bridge AV.”
Simon adds, “Great Britain has one of the most talented professional AV communities anywhere, and I’m looking forward to building on the relationships I’ve developed over the years, as well as establishing new ones. My ambition is to work closely with our customers and partners, understand their challenges and help them develop, win and deliver more projects.”

New Website Supports Trade Expansion
Alongside the appointment, Bridge AV has launched a new website designed to make its products and technical resources more accessible to trade customers.
The platform combines a searchable product catalogue with detailed technical information, trade account access, pricing for approved customers and online ordering facilities.
Rather than focusing solely on individual products, the website also takes a solution-led approach, allowing visitors to explore technologies according to their intended applications. These include conferencing, education, broadcast, theatre, houses of worship, government facilities, sports venues and live events.
Manufacturer sections bring together application guidance, technical documentation, product selection advice, training materials and other resources to assist integrators during the design and specification process.
James Campbell, Commercial Coordinator at Bridge AV Distribution, says, “Beyond the product catalogue, we wanted the website to reflect the wider support Bridge AV provides. By bringing together application guidance, technical resources and solutions for different sectors, we aim to make it a useful resource for customers throughout the project process, not simply somewhere to place an order.”
The expansion reflects Bridge AV’s ambition to build on its established position in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland while increasing its visibility and relationships within the wider Great Britain market.
For professional integrators, the company’s emphasis on technical assistance and project support offers an alternative to a purely transactional distribution model, particularly where projects require specialist design input or products from multiple manufacturers.
Bridge AV will continue operating exclusively through the professional trade, with new customers able to apply for accounts through its website.
