Ivory Egg UK is bringing certified KNX training back in-house with the opening of a dedicated training centre at its Nottingham office in October 2026.
The new facility marks a return to classroom-based certification for Ivory Egg, which welcomed its first KNX trainees in 2008 and delivered certified courses for around a decade from its former South Coast training centre.
Supported by new in-house KNX Tutor Amir Abyenah, the Nottingham centre will offer a structured learning pathway, beginning with KNX Basic and Advanced training and progressing to specialist courses including KNX HVAC Specialist and Energy Management.
Customised technical training covering areas such as application engineering, system integration and commissioning will also be available, allowing integrators and engineering teams to develop skills around their own projects and business requirements.
For electricians looking to enter the KNX market, the certified KNX Basic course provides an internationally recognised starting point. Successful delegates receive a KNX Certificate and become recognised KNX Partners, with the opportunity to be listed in the KNX Association’s online Partner database.

Jasper Spencer, General Manager at Ivory Egg UK, said: “Bringing certified training back in-house is an exciting step because it connects everything we do.
“We can help people build their knowledge, make confident technical decisions and choose the right solutions, then continue supporting them as they move into real projects. The relationship does not end when the course finishes or a product is purchased.”
Courses will be delivered by Amir Abyenah, a KNX Tutor since 2015 whose experience covers building services, residential installations and large commercial projects.
“KNX can create real opportunities for electricians and integrators, but confidence comes from understanding how to apply it properly,” said Amir. “My focus is on making complex ideas clear and giving delegates practical knowledge they can use when designing, programming and commissioning real projects.”
Alongside courses at the Nottingham centre, Ivory Egg will also be able to deliver training at customers’ own premises, allowing businesses to train several team members together and focus learning around their own applications and projects.
The Ivory Egg KNX Training Centre will open in October 2026, with course dates and booking information available from Ivory Egg’s training website.
