This new award was presented to Eurosat London Branch at the CAI Gala Awards Dinner on 22 March, and is designed to recognise trade counters whose customers feel that they go out of their way to offer good service, value and support.
The award was decided by the CAI members, on a one member one vote basis. All Nominated Representatives of CAI Member Companies received a one-time only use token to vote. The award this year was presented to Eurosat London.
Members were directed to a unique website and asked for the trade counter company name and branch name (if appropriate) and were provided with an opportunity to name a member of staff they felt worthy of a special mention, and to say why you think that trade counter deserves the award.
Strictly only CAI member companies are eligible to win the CAI Trade Counter of the Year Award and all CAI member companies were entitled to one vote.
In 2023 only companies with a physical sales space were eligible, not those who have telephone and online sales only.
The CAI was formed in 1978 to represent and establish standards in, the TV signal reception industry. Although the technologies the members work with have developed beyond, the core strengths of the CAI remain the same. The organisation sets industry standards, and vets applications to join. Consumers who use a CAI member can be confident that the member they choose will have the skills and expertise necessary to complete their work to the expected standard.
The CAI now represent businesses of all sizes from sole traders to multinationals, who specialise in many different areas of the communication and broadcast industry. Members work in both the domestic and commercial sectors. Whether the CAI member is an installing company, consultant, distributor or manufacturer, they are all experts in their area of the audio, video and data reception and distribution industry.
