Prove your humanity

Bird Home Automation GmbH, manufacturer of the door communication brand DoorBird, has received an iF DESIGN AWARD for its D11x series.

The compact door stations for detached and semi-detached houses won this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD in the home technology category.

The D11x products impressed the expert panel of 131 independent design professionals not only with their slim, elegant appearance, but also with their variety of applications and sustainability aspects such as resource-saving production. The latter were given a special weighting in this year’s jury verdict – they accounted for 20% of the assessment criteria.

“We are very proud that our products regularly receive awards from international experts,” says Sascha Keller, CEO of Bird Home Automation GmbH.

“Because they meet the needs of our customers: keeping an overview in an increasingly fast-paced world – keeping an eye on your home no matter where you are, controlling access according to your own wishes and not having to compromise between state-of-the-art technology and attractive design.”

The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world and honours design achievements in the disciplines of product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior design as well as professional concept, user experience and user interface.

Every year, around 11,000 designs compete for the coveted award. It has been awarded by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the longest established independent design institutions in the world, for over 70 years.
