Prove your humanity

City & Guilds to Communications House recently confirmed that a major percentage of the CAI’s Education and Skills programmes will be carrying the City & Guilds logo on certificates issued by the CAI.

The City & Guilds Group connects skills and jobs so people and organisations can progress.

Made up of City & Guilds, ILM and City & Guilds Kineo, they work with education providers, businesses and governments in over 80 countries to provide work-relevant education and training.

The main demanding requirements by City & Guilds were providing assessment and administration systems within a specified, tested framework.

With some fine-tuning, an approval application that documented the CAI training managed system passed all the required verification, culminating in the CAI signing a contract with City & Guilds for the use of its accredited logo on the following courses:

Basic Aerial & Basic Satellite, Making the Bond, An Introduction to IRS, Basic Home Networking & Connectivity, Fibre Optics in Signal Distribution, Installation of Motorised Satellite Systems, Astra Connect, Tooway and SMATV & IRS Networks Design & Build.

“This is a major step forward in the future of the CAI,” says senior executive, Tim Jenks. “As the industry leader providing the educational backbone for the signal reception and distribution industry, the courses offered by the UK’s trade body are now given the recognition they deserve.”
