CEDIA has announced an official partnership with Houzz.co.uk, giving consumers an easier way to discover installers.

Houzz.co.uk has quickly become one of the largest online directories for finding home improvement professionals. Whether it be kitchen designers, architects or home technology experts, Houzz allows consumers to find the person they need in their area.

CEDIA’s partnership with Houzz should make it easier than ever for members to list themselves on the platform. It will also allow CEDIA members to showcase their affiliation with the association, which should give consumers the peace of mind they need when selecting an installer.

As part of the partnership, Houzz will create an authentication mechanism for active CEDIA members to verify their CEDIA membership on the Houzz platform. With verified badges, homeowners can identify CEDIA members who have specialised expertise in electronic design and installation.

“We have noticed that a number of our members are listed on the Houzz platform, so we sought to establish a partnership with them to enhance the offering to our members” comments Matt Nimmons, managing director of CEDIA EMEA.

“As part of the collaboration, all CEDIA members with a Houzz profile will be verified and able to display the CEDIA badge on their page. Houzz provides our members and the wider home technology industry with a platform to showcase their work, collaborate with clients, and connect with prospective clients. We would encourage more members to sign up to this platform and display their CEDIA member credential proudly.”

“We’re delighted to partner with the CEDIA to help its members take advantage of the technology and tools Houzz offers to build their brands and reach new clients,” adds Marcus Hartwall, managing director, Houzz UK.
