AliceThe CAI has achieved scheme operator status for TrustMark, the only Government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home, enabling installing members to apply for TrustMark status so that they can be found by homeowners using the TrustMark postcode search facility.
Members of CAI (Confederation of Aerial Industries Ltd) are able to assure their customers that their entertainment installations will be carried out by quality experts approved to Government-endorsed standards.
TrustMark is a quality mark, which operates a framework under which 30 scheme operators work in the RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) sector, including trade associations, local government trading standards teams and independent scheme operators.
These schemes are approved to carry the TrustMark logo and recruit reputable and trustworthy tradesmen, enabling TrustMark scheme operators to promote improved RMI sector standards and tackle related issues such as better enforcement.
All of these scheme operators are audited annually by TrustMark, to ensure processes, standards and complaint procedures are being maintained.
“The TrustMark endorsement for our members will radically raise the profile of an industry that is fundamental to nearly every household in the UK – the ability to distribute home entertainment around the home along with internet based services,” comments Tim Jenks, senior executive of CAI.

For the home entertainment, network and signal trade there has been a significant rise in the number of consumers referring to TrustMark since the scheme launched for signal reception and home networking.
TrustMark now has 32 scheme operators with over 12,700 inspected and registered firms across the UK for the entire key trades that work inside and outside the home.
A postcode search engine on the TrustMark website reveals a list of available CAI members able to complete work within the sector division, ranked according to the miles to travel.
