TVC Technology Solutions has completed an integrated digital signage installation for Future Leisure’s Royal Casino Slots venue in Northampton, combining high-brightness commercial displays, AV distribution infrastructure and bespoke digital content to create a prominent presence on the town’s Abington Street.
The project centres on four 75in Philips 4K Ultra HD displays installed in portrait orientation across the venue’s window frontage. Delivering 3,000cd/m² brightness, the screens are designed to maintain visibility in challenging daylight conditions, with ambient light sensors automatically adjusting brightness as conditions change. Rated for 24/7 operation, the displays provide a platform for regularly updated promotional content.
Rather than approaching the installation and content creation as separate projects, TVC brought together its commercial AV expertise and its Digital Display Design (DDD) Studio to deliver a coordinated solution.
The DDD team developed a suite of branded content tailored to the installed displays and their intended audiences. Window-facing material uses bold headlines, high-impact imagery and restrained motion to attract the attention of passing pedestrians, while internal content promotes refreshments, gaming and membership offers, including QR-code-based calls to action.
A consistent black-and-gold visual identity connects the different elements, ensuring the messaging remains recognisable throughout the venue.

Andy Greaves, Divisional Sales Director at TVC Technology Solutions, says, “This project illustrates why we think about what a screen needs to achieve, not just where it needs to go. We knew the installation had to make an impact on a busy high street, but the real value comes from pairing the right display technology with content designed for that exact environment. Bringing our AV and creative expertise in hospitality together meant the finished system could work as one cohesive solution from day one.”
Behind the displays, WyreStorm HDMI distribution equipment, signal extenders and dedicated Cat6 cabling provide the necessary connectivity. Custom B-Tech floor-to-ceiling double-pole mounts support the four portrait screens, avoiding the need for a supporting wall immediately behind each display.
Two MySign digital signage hardware and software packages handle playback and cloud-based content management, allowing the venue to update and schedule promotional material.
The TVC and DDD teams worked together to optimise artwork and motion assets for the screens’ resolutions and orientations before uploading and scheduling the content through MySign.
Andy adds, “An impressive display is only half the story. Content needs to be legible, relevant and designed around how people use the space. Our installation knowledge in the hospitality sector gives the creative team a practical understanding of screen formats, viewing conditions and playback requirements, helping the customer get more from the investment.”
The completed installation provides Royal Casino Slots with a flexible digital signage platform capable of adapting to changing promotions without requiring alterations to the underlying AV infrastructure.
For commercial AV integrators, the project also highlights the growing importance of considering content strategy alongside hardware specification. As digital signage becomes increasingly common in retail, hospitality and leisure environments, the ability to deliver both the technology and the messages displayed on it can provide an opportunity to extend the integrator’s role beyond installation and commissioning.
TVC Technology Solutions, part of the employee-owned TVD Group, provides AV installation and maintenance services across sectors including hospitality, retail, leisure, healthcare and education.
The Royal Casino Slots project demonstrates how combining display technology, reliable signal distribution and purpose-designed content can help businesses maximise the effectiveness of their digital signage investment.
