Bolton-based TVC Technology Solutions has completed an immersive AV installation at Motor Isle Bar & Grill, a new motorsport-themed hospitality destination on the Isle of Man.
Inspired by the legendary Isle of Man TT races and developed by the team behind the 3 Wheeling motorsport brand, Motor Isle combines American-style dining with live sport, motorsport memorabilia and immersive entertainment. TVC worked with the client from the early design stages to create an integrated AV infrastructure capable of supporting everyday dining, major TT race events, live sport and promotional content.
Strategically positioned Samsung commercial displays provide clear views throughout the restaurant and bar, while a WyreStorm NetworkHD AV-over-IP distribution platform allows staff to route any content source to any display across the venue.
Audio is delivered through a multi-zone Audac system designed to provide consistent sound throughout the restaurant and bar while giving staff independent control over different areas according to trading periods, events and entertainment requirements.
Touchscreen control provides rapid access to source selection, volume management and wider system operation, allowing employees to manage the installation without specialist technical knowledge.
TVC says the AV has been deliberately integrated to complement Motor Isle’s industrial styling and motorsport-inspired interior rather than dominate the space.
“As bars and restaurants compete to attract customers, immersive experiences have become one of hospitality’s most valuable ingredients,” says TVC Technical Director Chris Whitlock. “From live sport and digital signage to carefully zoned audio and flexible entertainment spaces, technology is increasingly helping venues encourage longer visits, repeat custom and stronger customer engagement.”
He adds, “Today’s hospitality venues have to offer something customers simply can’t recreate at home. Great food and service remain fundamental, but technology now plays a major role in creating memorable experiences that encourage guests to stay longer, spend more and come back again.”
The completed installation also gives Motor Isle a flexible platform for future sporting events, promotional campaigns, seasonal activities and new entertainment concepts without requiring major infrastructure changes.
Now fully open, Motor Isle Bar & Grill is aiming to establish itself as a destination that combines the Isle of Man’s racing heritage with a technology-rich hospitality experience.
For integrators, projects such as Motor Isle also underline the growing opportunity presented by the hospitality sector. EI has seen significantly increased traffic and reader interest around hospitality AV projects and technology in recent months, reflecting a market where bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure destinations are increasingly looking to AV to differentiate their offering.
From distributed audio and video to digital signage, lighting, control and networking, many of the skills already established within the residential integration community translate naturally into hospitality environments. As venues compete not just on food and service but on the overall customer experience, this could prove an increasingly valuable sector for integrators looking to diversify their project pipeline.
