Daniel J SaitHabitech is widening its range of commercial networking and collaboration tools with support for the Wyrestorm ‘Apollo’ line of conferencing hubs.
Wyrestorm’s Apollo Unified Communication (UC) range comprises three speakerphone models, compatible with all major conference platforms, designed for 360-degree communication and targeted at workplace scenarios rising in scale from small huddle spaces to larger conference rooms. The entry-level APO-100-UC, mid-range APO-200-UC and premium APO-210-UC feature the same streamlined polygonal design with integral mic array and 10W speaker, but each represents a step up in video sharing capability.
Designed for smaller ‘huddle’ spaces, the APO-100 connects via USB to a laptop for instant plug-and-play operation – no drivers or software required. The USB-C connection supports up to 4K/30 4:4:4 8bit video content from compatible devices such as phones, tablets, laptops to a conference display (via HDMI out), while a USB-A ‘Display Link’ connection handles up to 1080p/60 from a peripheral conference camera. Capacitive touch buttons on the top of the speakerphone control volume, mute microphone and mute video.
A step up from the 100, the APO-200 is a conference speakerphone and presentation switcher in one. Equipped with a broader range of connectivity options for video transmission via local USB-C or HDMI, or wirelessly with Miracast or AirPlay, the APO-200 allows up to two devices to share and display content simultaneously. Additional touch buttons send a CEC power command to a connected display for on/off activation and switch the active USB host.
The APO-210 adds a Class B HDBaseT output in addition to the HDMI out to support larger dual-screen meeting spaces. All models carry a Wyrestorm Pro AV five-year warranty.
Apollo range features
Speakerphone: all Apollo series products feature a premium 360° omni-directional microphone array with echo cancellation. Wired and wireless: the APO-200 and 210 support local connection via USB-C and HDMI, wireless casting via Miracast and AirPlay or casting from Wyrestorm’s USB-100-DGL wireless dongle.
Multiview: the APO-200 and 210 support simultaneous transmission from two independent video devices in a split-screen view using a combination of wired or wirelessly connected laptops, tablets, or smartphones.
Capacitive touch: intuitive capacitive touch buttons provide volume control, mic mute, and video mute for the meeting. An LED display ring on the top of the speakerphone indicates volume level and mute status.
