Systemline has released two software updates allowing installers to provide extra services across the Systemline 7 system in the form of the Deezer music platform, whilst also delivering high quality lossless radio streaming from Radio Paradise.

Armour says this move forms part of the company’s ongoing commitment to continuously develop and enhance its range of products and services for those customers installing multi-room audio systems.

The new Deezer interface has been released as a software update for all new and existing S7 systems. It allows consumers with Deezer premium accounts access to the music platform using the S7 app, which includes the majority of browsing methods and graphics provided by the native Deezer App.

The maker says this ensures the homeowner enjoys the convenience of one user-friendly app for Deezer, BBC iPlayer, TV sound, internet radio and playback of stored music in any room. Users will also be able to create, edit and delete new personal Deezer playlists, plus explore more tracks from a chosen artist they are listening to.

Paul Hilditch, Systemline brand manager, explains, “We wanted S7 to provide all of the functions that the native Deezer app provides, together with a consistent look and feel, so users can explore and enjoy their music without compromise.

“S7 goes the extra mile with the interface, using the same Deezer graphics for menu items, presenting search results in the same way, and allowing users to add tracks, artists, albums to their own Deezer library or playlists, all within the S7 App. We have also added an advanced search facility that includes artist, title, album and beats per minute.”

In addition to the new Deezer interface, Systemline has confirmed that each new miniserver forming part of S7 installed solution will include updated software that provides the ability to deliver lossless radio streaming from Radio Paradise in FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) format.

Radio Paradise is a free, commercial, listener-sponsored online radio station focusing on a very wide range of adult-orientated music.

Paul adds, “We are pleased that our new miniservers will support playback of this radio station in lossless FLAC, the quality of sound is exceptional. I hope that other radio stations will also consider lossless streaming – people are now demanding higher quality audio and are no longer satisfied with lossy compression and low bitrate internet radio.”

Bill Goldsmith, the man behind Radio Paradise, says, “Radio Paradise has always been focused on the best possible audio quality and we’re very excited about taking that to the next level with lossless streaming. I am thrilled that Systemline recognise this and now have our station available for people to enjoy in the best sound quality.”
