SurgeX, provider of power protection, diagnostic intelligence, remote monitoring and cloud solutions, has released third-party control platform drivers for Crestron, Control4, and Extron.
The aim of this new move is to support the integration of its multi-functional Squid power management system into commercial and residential AV applications.
Squid is described as offering a fresh, innovative approach for integrators, bringing together surge protection technology with remote analytics and power management into one unique, space-saving unit. The new drivers will allow Squid to be integrated into the most popular control systems to deliver the full functionality of the product in a clear and accessible command structure, says the maker. This includes complete power management capabilities, such as, outlet switching, sequencing, scheduling, auto-ping, IP Control, and also energy monitoring and status feedback.
“We’re excited to bring this range of drivers to market and make life even easier for integrators,” says Justin Peyton, the brand’s Director of Sales, EMEA. “Squid already provides a professional, intelligent and versatile power foundation that saves installation time and space by combining both AC and DC outlets with Multi-Stage surge protection, power conditioning, power management and analytical software. Now, it can be fully integrated to deliver its extensive feature-rich performance through the popular Crestron, Control4, and Extron platforms.”
