Prove your humanity

Rithum has announced its latest innovation, the Rithum Switch Pro, at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024. This device, crafted exclusively for professional installers, marries Power Over Ethernet (PoE) with an integrated speaker and microphones, offering control and communication capabilities across various settings in smart homes and beyond, including offices, meeting rooms, hospitality, hotels and educational institutions.

The Rithum Switch Pro, according to Rithum, epitomises its dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology to create versatile, user-friendly solutions that enhance living and working spaces with minimal hardware. With its PoE functionality, the device delivers a streamlined installation process with a reliable power source and solid data communications with no reliance on Wi-Fi. The addition of a built-in speaker and microphones transforms the Rithum Switch Pro into a communication hub, facilitating high-quality audio interactions, Rithum says, throughout any environment, such as answering the video doorbell.

Key features of the Rithum Switch Pro:

– Power Over Ethernet (PoE): Provides a simplified, efficient power/data solution, minimising the need for additional cabling and removing the reliance on Wi-Fi.

– Integrated speaker and microphones: Enables audio communication, suitable for intercom use in various settings.

– Designed for professional installers: Guarantees expert installation and support, tailored to the nuanced requirements of different built environments.

– Versatile application: Ideal for several environments, from smart homes to offices, hospitality, hotels, and educational spaces.

– Availability: The Rithum Switch Pro is slated for release in April, marking a significant advancement in intuitive and simple control solutions for the built environment.

Furthermore, Rithum also unveiled several new integration plugins at ISE 2024. These new plugins provide compatibility with Zuma, KNX, CoolAutomation, Shelly, and Audioflow, enabling seamless integration into existing smart systems and broadening the scope of control for users.

Founder and CEO, Ryan Ovens believes this is an important step on the company’s journey to address the mid-market and do more with less. He says, “For the last four years, Rithum have been daring to challenge the status quo of the control system.

“Rithum Switch Pro now builds on the progress we’ve made with Rithum Switch and offers installers the solution that many of them have asked for. Rithum has applications not just in smart homes but far beyond, where we are seeing it specified as a mid-market alternative to clunky centralised systems in meeting rooms, hotels, hospitality settings and more.”

The Rithum Switch Pro will be available for purchase in April, exclusively through professional installers.
