Sanus has announced the VMF620 TV wall mount, its next generation full motion mount. Sure, mounts are hardly the most exciting products in the custom installation industry – but they are a product that needs to be reliable, as it’s probably one of the most specified requirements in any install. That’s exactly what Sanus is promising – alongside some enhanced installation features.
VMF620 features three-arm articulation and VESA mounting design. Screens up to 127cm (50in) in size and weighing 34kg can be accommodated using the pre-assembled universal mounting system, which should speed up install time significantly. And thanks to the three-arm construction, a fluid motion 50cm (20in) extension and 180∘ swivel can be achieved without any reduction in mounting stability. Sanus has also included 30cm post installation lateral shift and lockable level adjustment.
Simplicity of installation was a key achievement Sanus strived for as part of the VMF620’s development. Generous post installation adjustments for position are possible, with the dual rail wall plate enabling 40cm (16in) OC and 30cm (12in) of lateral shift to be achieved. The level adjustment is now lockable, so minor changes to the horizontal position made after installation are firmly fixed, without restricting the fingertip VirtualAxis adjustments the user can make.
Aesthetically, the VMF620 features new decorative hardware covers, which Sanus says gives the mount ‘a sleek and clean finished appearance’. The hollow arms of the mount permit hidden cable management with easy-fit cable covers and installers have unrestricted access to the sockets and connections. Its universal mounting design ensures maximum compatibility with a wide range of TVs, thanks in part to the included hardware pack, which has been redesigned to overcome the mounting challenges provided by some popular brands of TVs.
The VMF620 is the first product in a range of next generation mounts that Sanus will be releasing over the coming months, all featuring similar features that are designed to make the installers’ lives easier.
