Qobuz, the French high-quality music platform, has introduced Label and Award pages, two new features offering music lovers new ways to explore and deepen their listening experience. With dedicated spaces for record labels and award-winning albums, users can discover new releases, iconic catalogues and critically acclaimed music—all with a level of curation rarely found in streaming service providers, claims the brand.
In line with its differentiation from mainstream music streaming platforms, Qobuz’s new offering allows subscribers to dive deeper into label catalogues. Through dedicated pages, users can access popular tracks, new releases, upcoming music and standout artists from their favourite record labels.
Labels may appear in a user’s library, automatically added based on listening habits and favourite music, label pages can be accessed directly from any album by tapping the label icon and labels can be followed for quick access anytime from a user’s library.
Some popular labels to explore, says Qobuz, are Blue Note: the legendary label of jazz history, home to some of the greatest names in the game, from Miles Davis and John Coltrane to Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins and Lee Morgan, and which continues to publish albums by the best contemporary jazz musicians.
Deutsche Grammophon is another – the Rolls-Royce of “classical” labels, combining historic reference discs with new recordings by today’s great virtuosos.
Warp is where the most innovative electronic musicians (Aphex Twin) rub shoulders with today’s most fascinating acts like Mount Kimbie, and users can also find Motown and 4AD (the cult label founded by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980).
Qobuz’s new Award pages showcase a curated selection of award-winning albums. From prestigious international honours to Qobuz’s own accolades.
Album of the Week includes Qobuz’s editorial teams’ selection of a can’t-miss release every Friday, while Qobuzissime is Qobuz’s exclusive award that recognises an artist’s first or second album. The award spans genres, recognising outstanding music from emerging talents to bold artistic projects and truly exceptional releases.
Qobuz Label and Award pages are now available globally on the latest version of the Qobuz mobile app for iOS and Android and will soon be available on all its apps.
