Prove your humanity

AV signal distribution, connectivity and control specialist SY Electronics has launched the ultra-compact HDX60-18G HDMI extender. The device is targeted at corporate AV, education, digital signage, meeting room, home cinema and professional integration projects.

The extender is housed in a robust metal enclosure smaller than a pack of playing cards and supports resolutions up to 4K60 4:4:4, transmitting 4K HDR signals up to 60m and 1080p to a maximum of 85m over standard CAT cable.

HDX60-18G offers comprehensive EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) functionality, allowing installers to optimise source compatibility and output configuration. Selectable HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) modes resolve compatibility issues between mixed-generation source and display equipment.

“We created HDX60-18G to give installers an HDMI extender option that can be easily concealed behind screens, in ceiling spaces, in lecterns, and other confined spaces,” comments SY Electronics Founder and Managing Director, Sirous Yazdanian. “At the same time, we refused to compromise on the features required for efficient setup and trouble-free operation. Early feedback from customers suggests that we have hit the sweet spot for advanced tools in a tiny footprint.”

Additional features include an integral test pattern generator, a Video Keep Alive (VKA) feature which maintains stable video output if the source signal is lost and a Hot Plug Detect (HPD) function that allows the HDMI connection to be remotely reinitialised without disconnecting cables. Entire extender sets can be powered from either end using a single power supply (PoC).

HDX60-18G is available now from SY Electronics and approved resellers.
