NextLevel Acoustics has announced the introduction of the new Frame Sub, an innovative architectural subwoofer designed to deliver powerful, room-filling bass while seamlessly integrating into today’s living spaces.
Created to pair with the company’s popular Fusion Frame Soundbars and Audio Art solutions, the Frame Sub challenges the notion that high-performance bass requires a large, traditional subwoofer cabinet.
Unlike conventional subwoofers that often need to be hidden or worked around, the Frame Sub is designed to become an integral part of the room’s aesthetic. Featuring a framed appearance, a wide selection of custom finishes and designer grille fabrics, it transforms an essential audio component into a refined architectural element.
At the heart of the Frame Sub is the same high-performance 10in driver found in NextLevel Acoustics’ CI-IW10RS and CI-IW10RS-PRO architectural subwoofers. Featuring a powerful neodymium motor and oversized 3in voice coil, it delivers deep, controlled bass and power handling up to 350 watts RMS.
Available in both partial in-wall and on-wall configurations, the Frame Sub provides integrators with installation flexibility. The partial in-wall version recesses into the wall, projecting just 1.25 inches into the room for a clean, integrated appearance.
For installations where in-wall mounting isn’t practical, the on-wall version delivers the same framed aesthetic in a slim, 4.75-inch-deep enclosure. Both configurations offer an alternative to traditional floor-standing subwoofers while preserving valuable floor space.
“Subwoofers have traditionally been one of the most challenging components for designers and homeowners to incorporate into a living space,” says Lee Weber, co-owner of NextLevel Acoustics. “With Frame Sub, we’re changing that. Instead of finding a place to hide the subwoofer, we’ve created something that complements the room. By combining the performance of our proven architectural subwoofers with the design versatility of our Fusion Frame and Audio Art products, we’re giving integrators a complete audio solution where every component looks as good as it sounds.”
