Lewis CaliburnHKC Security has announced the launch of its new Smart Video Doorbell, a professionally designed doorbell that delivers seamless integration, reliable performance and enhanced control for modern security installations.
Developed specifically with installers in mind, the HKC Smart Video Doorbell (CAM-DBKT) combines Full HD video, intelligent detection and straightforward system integration, providing a reliable solution for residential and commercial security projects.
The device delivers 1080p video with a wide 154° field of view and integrated night vision, ensuring clear visibility at all times. Full two-way audio with echo cancellation enables natural, real-time communication, giving end users the ability to interact confidently with visitors via the SecureComm App.
At the core of the system is cloud-based AI detection, which can distinguish between people, vehicles, pets and packages. This reduces false activations and unnecessary notifications, helping installers deliver a more robust and dependable user experience that minimises callbacks and improves customer satisfaction.
A key differentiator is the doorbell’s native integration with HKC alarm panels and the SecureComm Cloud. This allows installers to offer a fully unified security ecosystem, rather than a standalone smart device, strengthening system cohesion and increasing overall project value.
Installation has been engineered to be fast and flexible and the unit supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity for stable performance and offers dual power options, including a 6500mAh rechargeable battery via USB-C or connection to a standard bell transformer. An integrated wireless transmitter supports multiple plug-in chimes, with a chime included as standard, removing the need for additional components and simplifying specification.
From a security perspective, the system incorporates tamper detection and secure cloud video storage using adaptive streaming technology, ensuring both data protection and consistent performance without reliance on local SD cards.
With an IP65-rated housing, the HKC Smart Video Doorbell is built to withstand demanding environmental conditions, making it suitable for a wide range of residential installations.
