Lewis CaliburnKorean high-end audio brand, HiFi Rose, has launched Symphony Premium, a classical streaming service that combines UHD 4K video with Hi-Res lossless FLAC audio. Available to HiFi Rose users worldwide via software update, the new service marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to expand beyond high-performance audio hardware into premium content and services.
With Symphony Premium, HiFi Rose aims to deliver a complete ecosystem that allows customers to experience the full capabilities of their audio systems through reference-quality performances.
Symphony Premium offers a curated library of more than 800 orchestral concerts, operas, ballets and music documentaries, produced by some of the world’s leading orchestras, concert halls and performing arts organisations.
Every title is delivered in UHD 4K video and Hi-Res lossless FLAC audio, providing an immersive concert experience that preserves both visual detail and sonic fidelity.
Unlike conventional music streaming platforms that focus primarily on audio or video services that rely on compressed sound formats, Symphony Premium delivers premium video and reference-quality audio together in a single platform. The service is designed to reproduce the atmosphere of a live performance, from the spatial characteristics of the concert hall to the subtle dynamics, textures and nuances of each instrument.
Symphony Premium is fully integrated into Rose OS, allowing existing HiFi Rose users to access the service through a simple software update. No additional hardware or external devices are required, enabling customers to enjoy premium classical streaming immediately on their existing system.
To help users experience the platform firsthand, HiFi Rose also provides a selection of complimentary sample performances. These free titles allow listeners to evaluate the image quality and audio performance of Symphony Premium before subscribing, while demonstrating the capabilities of their own audio systems.
The platform also introduces the Reference Listening Collection, a specially curated selection of performances chosen to highlight key aspects of high-end audio reproduction, including soundstage, instrument separation, resolution, dynamics and tonal balance. The collection is intended not only for music appreciation but also as a reference library for evaluating audio system performance.
To ensure uninterrupted playback, Symphony Premium incorporates HiFi Rose’s proprietary Stable Playback Mode. By intelligently preloading content before playback begins, the technology minimises the impact of network fluctuations and delivers stable UHD 4K video and Hi-Res FLAC audio from beginning to end.
