Atlas Cables has announced two new additions to its Element loudspeaker cable range: the Element Speaker R1 and Element Speaker Screened R1, both launching in May 2026.

The Element Speaker R1 uses Oxygen Free copper conductors combined with a cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) dielectric. Atlas states that the cable also features Achromatic cold weld (crimped) plugs designed to provide low contact resistance for power delivery to the loudspeaker crossover. The internal construction includes a cotton filler to damp intra-conductor vibration, all enclosed within a soft, durable and flexible sheath.

The cable will be available in a standard 2:2 configuration using 2 x 3.2mm² stranded conductors, alongside bi-wire 2:4 and 4:4 options featuring 4 x 1.6mm² conductors.

Atlas has also introduced the Element Speaker Screened R1, which adds dual drain screening to the design. According to the company, this is intended to reduce RF antenna behaviour in hi-fi systems when connected to a chassis earth using the supplied spade umbilical.

The Element Speaker Screened R1 features OFC copper conductors, a cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) dielectric and Achromatic S or Z cold weld terminations. Technical specifications include a 2.5mm² (13 AWG) conductor size, 8mm outer diameter, resistance of 0.0068 Ohms/m and inductance of 0.40Uh/m. The cable is available in a 2:2 configuration and finished in white.

Both products are available to order now through local dealers and via Atlas Cables’ online store.
