Atlas Cables adds new RCA models to Hyper Cable range

Atlas Cables has announced the launch of two new additions to its Hyper range: the Hyper RCA R1 and Hyper RCA Sub R1 and the Hyper RCA Duo R1. Both products launched in February 2026 and form part of a wider move by the company to simplify its product portfolio and streamline the naming of new products so the range is clearer and more straightforward for customers.

The Hyper RCA R1 and Hyper RCA Sub R1 represent a development of the previous Hyper RCA design. Atlas Cables set out to apply the learnings from its latest Duo topology in a simplified form that could serve as a first upgrade step for users of its Element and Equator ranges. The physical cable is a balanced design featuring two identical internal Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper conductors enclosed within a double-layer metallised and woven OFC screen.

The cable is connected in a symmetrical pseudo-balanced configuration designed to improve screening effectiveness. As a result of this construction the cable is directional by design, and the arrow printed on the plug should be connected pointing away from the pre-amplifier. The design incorporates stranded conductors and a broadband expanded polyethylene dielectric intended to support high propagation velocity. The plug features OFC copper pins, while the conductor layout is designed to improve conductivity.

Also launching in February 2026 was the Hyper RCA Duo R1, which introduces the latest iteration of the company’s Duo symmetrical pseudo-balanced topology. This design builds on an established methodology intended to improve the common mode rejection of induced noise currents.

Within each cable the hot and cold conductors are surrounded by their own independent precision-woven OFC screen. At one end of the cable each pair of screens is connected to the cold (negative) connection in a pseudo-balanced configuration that drains both screens to earth via the system’s 0V reference. This configuration makes the cable directional by manufacture, and the arrow engraved on the plug should be connected pointing away from the pre-amplifier.

In addition, the hot and cold conductors are twisted in a precision lay designed to improve overall electromagnetic interference performance. By draining broadband noise more efficiently to earth via the system 0V, the Duo symmetrical pseudo-balanced topology is intended to deliver wide dynamic range and high-fidelity audio performance.

The Hyper RCA Duo R1 uses an Ohno Continuous Cast copper conductor arrangement with stranded conductors and OCC copper pins in the plug. It also features a wideband foamed polyethylene dielectric designed to support high velocity of propagation.

The launch of these new models reflects Atlas Cables’ ongoing development of its interconnect technology while aligning the Hyper range with a clearer and more streamlined product naming structure.
