Meridian Audio was one of the companies taking home a top prize, with Meridian Sooloos being crowned the Multi-Room/Zone Music Solution of the Year, alongside Manufacturer of the Year award.
Discussing the win Rayner Sheridan, marketing director at Meridian Audio Ltd, notes: “To win not one but two awards at this year’s Smart Building Awards is a huge achievement for us.
“We are delighted to be crowned Manufacturer of the Year as we continue to drive the professional installation sector towards adopting Hi Res Audio.
“As part of our commitment to the industry, we have developed the Design and Specification Service to offer a free, reliable, and time-saving service for our dealers to design and specify complete systems.
“We have also developed our training classes in both two-channel and multi-channel audio systems, to help experienced professionals hone their skills and those new to the industry learn the fundamentals of audio systems.”
The award for Meridian Sooloos was one of the biggest highlights for the company, with it having strived to update and develop the product to make it ideal for all installation scenarios. Some of the recent updates the company has made include increasing the number of zones available, as well as making it easier to specify and install.
“We put our thoroughly deserving win down to Sooloos’ improved control options include re-designed iPhone and iPad applications, and TouchPC control alongside integration with third party options including Crestron and Control4,” Rayner adds.
“Another standout feature from Sooloos is its ability to be integrated using Meridian Core storage options or a supported NAS device, through a special QNAP plugin, giving the installer the freedom to specify their preferred storage product.”
