Meridian has a history of innovation, including a host of world’s first product introductions and technology innovations. During the 1990’s, Meridian Lossless Packing technology was developed by Meridian and licenced to Dolby as the standard for DVD Audio. In 2014, Meridian launched Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), the technology for efficiently streaming music with the highest possible sound quality. As an early adopter of MQA and its champion in Japan, Onkyo began distributing music in MQA format through e-onkyo, a high-resolution music download site.
