Legrand UK & Ireland is calling on customers, partners and industry professionals to have their say on the issues that matter most, as the company launches a major global survey to inform its next corporate social responsibility (CSR) roadmap.
The materiality survey, which is now open, will help rank the CSR issues considered most important by those across the industry. The results will inform Legrand’s 2028 to 2030 CSR roadmap, directly shaping the priorities the business sets for the years ahead.
Sustainability and responsible business are central to how Legrand operates and the company has taken a series of practical steps towards becoming a more sustainable and resource efficient business.
In 2024 it introduced Green Steel into its UK cable management supply chain, and by 2025 this accounted for 34% of the steel used in those products, a significant reduction in the carbon impact of the materials involved. The progress has since been embedded into the company’s 2025 to 2027 CSR roadmap as part of a longer-term commitment to lower-carbon manufacturing.
That focus extends across the business. Legrand designs products with longevity, repair and recyclability in mind, supplying Product Environmental Profile (PEP) Eco Passports across ranges such as its uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to provide transparency on environmental performance and continues to look for ways to reduce waste and reliance on virgin materials. Its recently opened manufacturing facility in Cramlington, built to Net Zero principles and powered in part by on-site solar generation, reflects this.
This latest step reinforces a belief that the next chapter should be shaped with the input of those Legrand works alongside every day. The survey is open to all the company’s stakeholders, including customers, end users, suppliers, contractors, wholesalers and trade associations. It takes just a few minutes to complete and is available in nine languages: Arabic, Chinese, German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.
Angela Thwaites, Health, Safety & CSR Director at Legrand UK & Ireland, says, “Our customers and partners see the realities of the industry first-hand, and their views are invaluable in helping us decide where we should focus next. CSR has always been central to our actions, and this survey is about making sure the priorities we set genuinely reflect what matters most to the people we work with. We encourage anyone with a role to play in the future of our industry to take part and share their thoughts.”
The survey is open until 3 July 2026. To take part and help shape Legrand’s CSR roadmap, click here.
