UK based distributor, Invision has announced an agreement to supply professional installers with Panamorph anamorphic home cinema projector lenses.

Based in Colorado Springs, Panamorph was founded in 2007 and has since become one of the leading lights of the anamorphic lens sector helping installers deliver wide screen experiences in the home.

Invision says that through years of collaboration with many leading home cinema projector, screen and digital processor manufacturers, anamorphic UltraWide 2.4:1 has become the premium cinema format.

Andy Jones, home cinema category manager at Invision, says: “Being able to offer professional installers with Panamorph anamorphic projector lenses has not only strengthened our portfolio, but also means that they can duplicate the film industry’s dramatic commercial cinema projection process of delivering a true widescreen experience without black bars in their clients’ homes.”

Additionally, Invision points out that the use of Panamorph lenses allows 4K UHD projectors to reproduce every pixel on screen, so movies aren’t limited to the 3K resolution contained within the black letterbox bars.

Panamorph display modes directly integrate with many leading projector models and can deliver 30% higher brightness and resolution to UltraWide 2.4:1 home cinemas.

The new deal comes into effect immediately.
