Vivitek has announced the H5098 projector, bringing some of the company’s professional-grade technologies to the home cinema market.
The Vivitek H5098 features Full HD 1080p resolution and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. It leverages DLP technology with BrilliantColour and promises accurate, long-lasting colour and improved efficiency in illumination optics to provide a wide colour gamut capable of creating over a billion colour shades. Other features include brightness output of 2,000 ANSI lumens and RGBRGB colour wheel.
Alongside all the features to power the actual projector, Vivitek says that it paid close attention to the design to ensure that it’s as flexible as possible in a variety of installation scenarios. The H5098 can be specified with a choice of five different lenses to cover the different projection throw ratio distances. Vivitek says that this makes it ideally suited to designated cinema rooms in premium properties, but also for city dwellers in compact apartments.
A key feature for cinema buffs will be the VividMotion frame interpolation function. This has been engineered to reduce motion judder to create a ‘fluid and flawless’ video stream, providing a finely detailed viewing experience when fast paced movie-scenes or sports games are being enjoyed. The H5098 also supports 3D films and can even convert 2D footage into a three dimensional image.
Installers are able to plug in a range of devices into the Vivitek H5098 – with dual HDMI ports meaning two sources can be plugged in at once. Integrators will also be pleased by the built-in 12V trigger for screen or blinds control.
The H5098 is available immediately at a MSRP excl. VAT of £2,199.
