Prove your humanity

This year’s ISE show is the biggest ever, so if you are going or not, what gets launched at ISE will affect your business in 2015 and beyond.

Early signs are its going to be a bumper year for new releases as manufacturers jockey for position to place themselves on pole to take advantage of the market growth predicted for our sector.

Expect lots of new ‘affordable’ automation solutions and platforms as the custom install market moves more mainstream and into the consciousness of the middle income consumer or developer looking for a competitive edge.

Whether from an established player or a newer entrant, find an affordable platform that works for you this year to round out your portfolio.

Matrixes and control devices that combat some of the communication challenges of the next couple of years such as HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 will also feature heavily, providing installers with a choice on how to future proof their installs.

Check out brands that are offering solutions to these issues and future proof your business.

The next generation of 4K TVs/projectors and delivery systems will also be a big feature of the show.

With native content still relatively thin on the ground and many clients having big back catalogues of HD and SD content, CE-Pro recommends finding partners with high-quality up-scaling capabilities whether that be imbedded in the screen or in the delivery hardware.

Immersive surround sound will be a big feature of the show with many speaker companies wanting to exploit Auro 3D, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the latest format to join the 3D family.

These technologies genuinely offer a step change in the home cinema experience, so finding partners now that suit your approach is a great tick to put on your ‘to do’ list as the concept grows.

CE-Pro also recommends revisiting your take on the lighting sector, predicted as one of the big growth areas over the next few years, make sure you are across all the latest products and technologies, ISE would be a great place to start.

Trawl through our special ISE section to give yourself an overview of what the show is providing and also check out our slide show above which covers some of the companies and products well worth checking out.
