Junction 4 Skatepark in Darwen has transformed its meeting facilities with a connected AV solution from WyreStorm, creating a more professional and flexible environment for corporate, public-sector and community events.
More than a riding facility, Junction 4 works closely with local schools and the wider community while also providing private hire for meetings, parties and events. Looking to broaden the commercial potential of the venue, the skatepark worked with LCD Showcase to upgrade a previously basic meeting room.
The aim was to create a modern collaboration space capable of supporting presentations, workshops, hybrid meetings and conferences while remaining simple enough for a wide variety of users.
At the heart of the installation is a WyreStorm SW-640L-TX-W 4-Input 4K Presentation Switcher with USB-C, providing the central connectivity platform for bringing content into the room.
A WyreStorm APO-DG Content Sharing Dongle provides straightforward content sharing, helping visiting users connect and present from different devices without unnecessary complexity.
Hybrid meetings are supported by a CAM-420PTZ 4K Dual-Lens AI PTZ Camera, while audio capture is handled by a COM-MIC-HUB Microphone Hub working with three APO-SKY-MIC Companion Add-on Ceiling Mics. The distributed microphone arrangement helps capture participants throughout the room for meetings involving both in-person and remote attendees.
The wider installation also includes 4K interactive touchscreen displays with casting capability, together with a projector and screen for larger presentations and film nights.
Completed in just two days, the project has created a room that can move easily between corporate presentations, council meetings, hybrid conferences, workshops and community events without requiring a different technology setup for each application.

The upgrade has not only improved the venue’s AV capabilities but strengthened Junction 4’s proposition for private and corporate hire, turning an underused meeting space into a more commercially attractive and versatile part of the facility.
